PDF Locker is built on the foundation of local-first processing. We believe that your sensitive documents should never leave your device. All encryption and decryption happens entirely within your browser's memory.
1. No Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the data contained within the PDF files you process. Because all operations are performed client-side using WebAssembly (qpdf-wasm), your files are never uploaded to our servers.
2. Cookies and Tracking
PDF Locker does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that could identify you. Any local storage used is strictly for the functional operation of the application (such as caching the PDF processing engine) and does not contain personal information.
3. Security
We use industry-standard AES-256 encryption for PDF locking. However, since the password you provide is only used locally, we have no way to recover a file if you lose your password.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
